Let’s Kick it Off with a Crazy Impossible Dream Making Session!

Last week, I wrote a post asking for people to join me to get in a pre-holiday crusade to get healthy down to the cellular level. We have a sizable group of folks who expressed interest which will make it more fun and interesting.
I wanted to open up the playing field to ANYONE who has a goal to achieve or a permanent lasting behavior change that they would like to make. Come join us. If you are worried about the Holiday timing, fuhgeddaboudit. There is never a “good time” which makes the best time now. Whether you want to lose weight, change careers, or help the homeless, the process is the same.
My role is to keep us focused, lay out frameworks to follow and share resources. I welcome input and hope you all will feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and experiences with me the others in the group. If there is something really specific that you would like to learn about, like how to go about getting a high colonic, let me know. If it’s aligned with our objectives, I’ll take it on.
There is no better way to get “jazzed up” for a life changing endeavor than to participate in an “anything goes, I can create the life I’ve dreamed of” goal planning session. “Wait!” You say, “I just want to get in shape. Why do I need to participate in a whole goal planning session?” The simple answer is that you don’t. But nothing helps prepare you to make lasting change more than taking a fresh look at your life, and discovering what you really, really, REALLY want.
If you are still really resistant to the idea, then narrow your focus and create goals for improving your health and fitness. This will be like anything else in life… you get out what you put in. No one is going to hold you accountable for doing what you plan to do. No one is going to punish you if you don’t reach a milestone when you hoped to reach. And, no one is going to be handing out gold stars if when you cross the finish line to reach your goal. This is a very personal journey, and ultimately, you are responsible for making it happen.
That doesn’t mean, we shouldn’t have some help and encouragement along the way. My intention is to provide support and find support through all of you. When you stop growing, you start dying. It’s that simple. I want to keep growing as long as I possibly can.
How to start?
I have prepared a goal planning worksheet for you. It’s the process I have always used successfully. And, in it, I take you through everything, step by step. Just a thought…you might want to get yourself a 3 ring binder with some tabs because there will be a lot of handouts. Just keep your binder with you whenever possible.
My email subscribers (the folks who subscribed using the large purple box at the top right hand corner of my home page) will receive this attachment by email today (no need to subscribe again). If you have not subscribed by email and you want the worksheets, go ahead and do so by clicking here and entering your name and a valid email address. You’ll be sent a confirmation link that makes sure you are not a spammer, and then a follow up email with the file that you can download.
The process takes about an hour. Once you have completed it, please share your number one goal with the rest of us, or anything really great that came out of the process. If you got stuck somewhere, let me know. I will try to help.
Have Fun! Dream Really Big! Let’s Do this Thing!
