A Preview of Things to Come

I am jumping for joy, doing a little victory dance. I survived Halloween! Only one Reese’s Peanut Butter cup so far. The surprising thing is that I didn’t even want it. I ate it more out of habit than I did for a true desire for chocolate covered peanut butter.
How did I survive with only one casualty? I had to get some leverage on myself. I put myself in a headlock, gave myself a nuggy, and said… “Hey stupid head. It might taste like heaven, but you are going to feel like garbage in a few minutes and have to pay for it with double duty on the treadmill. Is it worth it? Really?”
It wasn’t.
So I learned that I really can be in the house surrounded by candy, and remain uninterested.
How are you all doing?
Are you working on your crazy impossible dreams? Have you defined what good health means to you? Have you put a plan in place and started working towards your goal? Are you taming your monsters?
Maybe you have started to feel that uncomfortable uncertainty of being in limbo…somewhere between where you were and where you want to be. It’s going to be like that for a while. I almost said, “Get used to it”. But I don’t want you to get used to it. The feeling of the discomfort can be a great motivator if you stay focused on the outcome. You just need to know how to manage that uncomfortable feeling. Keep moving towards your goal, one step at a time, with faith. Consistency, patience and perseverance are the keys to making this adventure a success.
I thought getting a little glimpse of things to come might help motivate and inspire you.
As I sat down to put together an editorial calendar, I realized how much there is to do and learn. Since I don’t know where “ground zero” is for you, I could use a little feedback on what you will find useful, vs. what you might already know. Leave me a comment below.
Keep in mind that I am not a medical doctor or nutritionist. I taught dance and fitness for many years. I have done countless hours of research on many of these issues, read hundreds of books and taken numerous courses from some of the top professionals in the industry. My goal is to open your mind to different ideas and share some of the tips I have learned. You should always do your own research. That way, you will “own the material” and feel more invested in your outcome. Consult with your doctor about anything you are unsure of.
And remember, I am not where I want to be either. I am doing this too.
Here is a list of topics I intend to cover.

As I see how this unfolds, I may change the topics and/or order of the presentation if I think it will help you more. Let me know what is going to be really helpful for you and which topics you already know enough about. If there is something that I haven’t mentioned, that you really want to learn about, please let me know and I will try to work it in. Today, my friend Tina asked me for some meal planning ideas, so I will share some healthy main dish recipes, along with some low sugar recipes.
And, since I do have other categories on this blog, like homeschool, business, etc… there will be a few “off topic” posts breaking up the flow of information.

What a fantastic idea. I may just steal the idea from you for a post, iff’n you don’t mind.
Mwah!
Steal away dear. Was just over in your neck of the woods and saw that you were sick. So sorry. Your hair looks great. Still terrified of the no poo thing. But I will live vicariously through you until I can brave it.
Mwah, back at ya!
